Texture of tires and how they get made
The other day watching Discovery channel “how it’s made” I thought it would be a great idea to let people know how tires are made.
Tires like Nexen CP672 are made out of many components major of which is natural rubber plus other countless ingredients. The process of making tires can be described in 3 steps.
Step 1
First, the tire manufacturer puts all needed ingredients together under high heat equally distributing all components making a homogenized substance. It takes awhile for all ingredients to mix in together and usually gets done in up to 5 different stages.
Step 2
Actual tire building comes in 3 parts which are bead building, extrusion, calendaring. Manufacturers use a special robot to complete each part separately and then put them together. After all components are placed into the mold to create a final shape.
Step 3
This is a very important step as here manufacturers inspect each wheel to make sure they have no defects. Tires keep a car on the road therefore tire manufacturers have a lot of responsibilities.
Before being put on the car all tires go through various tests and inspections to make sure their quality. This is one of the reasons to buy only brand tires, as big tire brands have more testing and quality controls in place to make sure highest quality for their products. A miscalculation in how much of each ingredient goes into the tire mix will affect durability and performance of those tires.
All big car brands have contracts with big tire manufacturers so when buying a new car you don’t have to worry much about it, however once it’s time to change your tires, think safety and quality rather than lower price. Low priced tires can end up costing more as they might wear out much faster than similar tires of other companies.

Welcome to the Site
I'm happy to see you here. Here you will learn how tires are made at manufacturing plants. It's a pretty complicated process which I will try to brake down for you.
Hopefully you will learn something new for yourself!
